Rabbit Rabbit to you, my lovely readers!
As you can see I’m back—and the site is back—from what began as a day of code-tweaking, became a design-refresh weekend, and ultimately evolved into a two week hiatus for a substantial overhaul. If you missed it, here’s what you would have seen while I had the site up on blocks in my garage.
As any designer will tell you, taking time off from paying work to give attention to personal projects is very difficult—financially and psychologically. I worked as hard as I work for any client during those two weeks and wish I had had the more generous time-frame I schedule for them. My not-quite-done list is substantial and my sense of panic in the past few days was high.
However, it was time. When I stopped blogging at my Hit Those Keys domain, I put up what was meant to be a very temporary structure. After much dithering, I figured out what, in part, I want to be doing here and what you’re seeing today is the result.
Most of my efforts have been making peace with CMSs in general, and WordPress in particular. (Coding HTML directly is infinitely faster.) I’ve tried to make things easier to find and therefore more valuable.
A few highlights:
The new masthead is the most obvious change, along with some more subtle changes in layout and typography.
I have a new portfolio up, here. Some of the old portfolios are temporarily AWOL while I move them into their new pages.
I think articles are easier to find now and as I cull and tidy up the archives they will become more so.

Thank you, Andrea!
Happy March! Love getting your cheery newsletters with fab art! You know I’m a fan! xo debbi
I do know it, Debbi. Much appreciated.
Love the design and especially “quirky creative.” Quirky has always been one of my favorite words! Can’t wait so see the rest. I remember “Persephone” but can’t find her now. Is she still around?
Thanks, Debra.

I need to add a search box, but the default one was too ugly.
Lovely redesign, Lisa! And so happy to find my Rabbit Rabbit mailing in the inbox this week, just when it was most needed
Thank you, Rebecca. So good to hear…
